Why attend

A useful day whether you are job hunting, volunteering or just curious.

  • 01

    Meet organisations that are recruiting

Speak directly to hiring managers and volunteer coordinators, and ask the questions a job advert never answers.

  • 02

Explore paid work and volunteering together

Paid roles, volunteering, placements and trustee opportunities are all in the same room, so you can compare every route in.

  • 03

Learn how the sector actually works

Find out what different charity roles involve, what employers look for and how people build careers in the sector.

  • 04

    Come as you are

No sector experience needed. Students, graduates, career changers and people returning to work are all welcome.

Getting the most from the day

How to prepare

  • Have a look at the exhibitor list beforehand and note the organisations you most want to speak to.
  • Think about two or three questions you would like to ask about roles, volunteering or the sector.
  • Bring copies of your CV if you would like to, although not every exhibitor will take them on the day.
  • Allow time to browse. Many people find opportunities they were not originally looking for.

Accessibility and inclusion

Everyone is welcome

  • The Fair is free to attend and open to everyone.
  • You are welcome to come alone, with a friend or with a support worker.
  • There is no dress code and no obligation to apply for anything.
  • You can stay for ten minutes or the full day, whichever suits you.

Full venue and access details are confirmed closer to the event.
